New Ford Fiesta ST starts production ahead of first deliveries in March

Ford has started production of the new Fiesta ST at its plant in Cologne ahead of first customer cars arriving in Ford’s UK showrooms in March. By the time the Fiesta ST arrived at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show it had turned in to a full production model – with little change from the concept – and we finally got UK prices for the Fiesta ST last month, with the promise that Ford would be getting the first STs to customers in March. That plan looks like it’s on track as Ford announce the Fiesta ST has now started to roll off the production line in Cologne (and even the first STs coming off the line get Ford’s orange statement paint job).

Audi has decided to build an additional 250 Audi RS3 models for sale in the UK. Priced at the same £39,930 as before. It looks like Audi has found an extra 250 5-pot 2.5 litre engines lurking in the back of a cupboard, so it’s decided to churn out an extra run of 250 RS3s for the UK.

UK still a nation of middle-lane hoggers

DRIVERS in the UK are still hogging the middle lane and the M25 is the worst road for this poor driving habit. One in six British drivers admits hogging the middle lane and drivers over the age of 65 are the most likely to do this. Five of the top 10 worst stretches of road for middle lane hoggers were on the M25 that orbits London, making it the worst road in the UK for this driving behaviour.
